Instructional Technology
Instructional Technology is a diverse field concerned with the practical and conceptual aspects of learning instruction. Building upon theories such as systems theory, communications theory, theories of teaching, and theories of learning, students work to design and develop effective instructional technology for a variety of audiences


Instructional Vr
A concetration in virtual reality will be offered in the Master of Arts in Education.
The concetration will be offered to students who are interested in researching and using VR in educational settings and for students from other settings such as colleges, businesses, and industry who are interested in building and designing graphic based VR environments.




Courses Undegraduate Virtual Reality Class
77-164-01       Introduction to Virtual Reality Hardware and Software (2 cr).
Introduction to Virtual Reality, emphasizing basic applications in education and other fields. Students select special projects according to their interests.

Graduate Virtual Reality Classes
77-902-01      Virtual Reality: Principles and applications (2 cr).
An overview of the basic principles of virtual reality with an emphasis on applications in education and other fields. Students select special projects according to their interests and build a virtual environment


Research Projects

  • An examination of the Israel Literacy and Competency-Based Curriculum Objectives, identifying objectives that can use virtual reality as a method of means of attainment.
  • Identification, evaluation and demonstration of appropriate virtual reality software and equipment for use in grades K-12.
  • VR in schools: Working with teachers to help them virtual reality to teach their objectives.
  • Developing VR-based curriculum in mathematics, physics and other topics to use in schools and home.
  • Developing practical theories on VR learning user interfaces.
  • Developing a Kindergarten simulator in which can experience spatial experiences simulating K-6 cognitive spatial features.
