Bar-Ilan Meeting on
CHAOS: THEORY
AND EXPERIMENT
The Meeting's scope is to present and discuss recent theoretical and/or experimental works concerning chaotic systems, mainly paradigmatic model systems of quantum chaos. This will include verifications of theoretical predictions in experimental realizations of the latter models by atom-optics techniques, theoretical explanations of experimental results, and suggestions for new experiments and theories. Experimentally realized phenomena such as quantum resonance, quantum accelerator modes, and quantum-ratchet effects allow to control/manipulate the quantum motion of cold atoms or Bose-Einstein condensates in a variety of different new ways.
