Research

Study of one dimensional longitudinal Anderson localization Anderson localization is a known wave phenomenon that deals with waves in disordered media. In our research we study one dimensional longitudinal Anderson localization by measuring the transmission and reflection spectra of a waveguide containing random structures in the optical path. Creating the waveguides and internal structures via a reproducible method, introducing small changes in an existing structure and comparing the exact disorder to theory are our main goals.
